Mpox Vaccinations.

Vaccination campaigns were implemented together with the Division Mpox Task Force to protect high-risk populations in the Kampala Metropolitan Area. MARPI played a key role in mobilizing vulnerable groups, such as sex workers and individuals living with HIV/AIDS, to get vaccinated. Health workers educated these communities about the vaccine’s importance, addressing concerns and encouraging uptake. Over 9,000 individuals from high-risk groups received the first dose, helping to reduce the spread of Mpox and providing greater protection within these at-risk communities.
